The main highlight this 3rd quarter was coding for web design and our community-based research. For our research topic, we picked crafts and clothing in Vigan City. Because of this, I’ve learned to improve my social skills since I was the one in charge of interviewing and talking to our respondents. Not only did I hone my skills, but I also understood the importance of our crafts and the continuity of these because of conducting this research. Additionally, I also improved in coding. Though I learned a lot, I still faced some challenges this quarter. Managing deadlines was very difficult, especially when many tasks were given at the same time. Families prepare various special foods, decorate their homes, exchange gifts, and gather together.                     The celebration of Indigenous Peoples Month reminds us that our culture continues. Indigenous communities keep traditions, stories, and skills that give us knowledge while also teaching us to respect these traditions. Their culture is what preserves our past and continues to guide and help the future.            Empowering Indigenous Peoples means listening to their voices and protecting their rights. When they are seen and supported, they can care and have what is theirs, they can share their knowledge, and help build a better society. They also remind us to always care and protect the environment.          By respecting Indigenous culture, we can build a stronger nation. Indigenous communities are important to development.
