During the third quarter, I learned many new lessons and discoveries that helped me improve my knowledge and understanding. The main highlight this 3rd quarter was coding for web design and our community-based research. For our research topic, we picked crafts and clothing in Vigan City. Because of this, I’ve learned to improve my social skills since I was the one in charge of interviewing and talking to our respondents. Not only did I hone my skills, but I also understood the importance of our crafts and the continuity of these because of conducting this research. Additionally, I also improved in coding.
Though I learned a lot, I still faced some challenges this quarter. Managing deadlines was very difficult, especially when many tasks were given at the same time. There were days when I felt tired and drained, and some lessons were hard to understand, just like our lesson in coding. There were times when I couldn’t really get the hang of it. These were the times when studying was stressful.
To overcome these challenges, I tried my best to organize my tasks and finish them earlier. I also asked help from my classmates who understood the lesson when needed. Furthermore, I reduced distractions while studying, like leaving my phone away, which helped me stay more focused while studying and less stressed whenever we had tons of work to do.
Moving on, I will keep on improving my time management and study habits. I will stay more disciplined, ask questions when I do not understand something, and keep sharpening the skills I have learned. Through these, I hope to grow better and be prepared for other challenges I might face in the future.
