Together for a Greener Community (1st Quarter Thematic Project)

Image
H ere, I'm helping clean our barangay by sweeping to collect trash and by taking out weeds for a safer, cleaner, and greener environment. I n this picture, me and our club are working together to clean our school. It shows that teamwork makes a bigger impact in keeping our community clean and environment-friendly. T his 3rd  photo shows how we recycle our trash at home and turn it into something useful, like a pot we use to plant vegetables. I n this 4th photo, me and my family segregate our garbage. Since the garbage collector doesn’t reach our house, we collect it ourselves and travel to properly dispose it in a designated area. By starting in our home and working together, we can create a greener, cleaner, and better environment for everyone. We can achieve a clean and green community as long as we stay united and committed in taking care of our surroundings. . ݁₊ ⊹ . ݁ ⊹ . ݁˖ . ˖ . ݁༉‧₊˚.°❀⋆.ೃ࿔*:・°❀⋆.ೃ࿔*:・· · ─ ·đ–Ą¸· ─ · · ₊˚.°❀⋆.ೃ࿔*:・°❀⋆.ೃ࿔*: . ݁₊ ⊹ . ݁˖ . ⊹ . ...

1st Quarter: Learning Through Lessons and Problems

Image
T his quarter was full of ups and downs. I learned a lot — not just from academic lessons, but also through personal experiences that helped me become better at handling challenges.           I n ICT, I discovered so much about the history of something we really love and use every day — the internet. It was really interesting to learn how it all started, from the launch of Sputnik and how it was first intended for military use, to how it eventually became accessible to almost everyone around the world. Through each group reporting, I learned about the key people who contributed to its development made me realize how much work and innovation went into creating something we always take for granted.            W e also learned about websites, including web addresses, HTTP, and ccTLDs (country code top-level domains), which help locate websites. I now understand what t...

A Letter to the President: My Concern on Road Discipline and the Preservation of the Sierra Madre

Image
D ear Mr. President Bongbong Marcos jr.,              M y name is Athena Rane Reburon from Sto. Domingo, Ilocos Sur, and I am currently studying in Vigan City. As both a student and a concerned citizen, I am writing this with hope that you, sir will consider my observations and concerns about our community and country.            A s a student studying in a different place who needs to travel to get to school, I usually observe vehicles that lack driving discipline, such as not using their signal lights, not lowering their headlights when necessary, motors and tricycles not staying in the shoulder lane, overtaking on yellow lines, and many more. I'm also aware and I've even seen that these often lead to accidents, road rage and traffic problems. I also believe that some outdated traffic laws need to be reviewed and updated to better address today’s road problems. I hope that with better law en...

Who Would’ve Thought? My Unexpected Nutrition Month Journey

Image
J uly-- a month that always felt like just another ordinary month to me. Nothing special. But this year was different-- very different. Who would have thought that this month, Nutrition Month, would become so memorable to me?            J uly started off normal for me -- just the typical announcements about upcoming activities. Then one day, our ICT teacher announced that our section would represent the school in the regional NutriJingle. I was amazed, and honestly, I thought it was pretty cool and exciting because a regional contest would be a good opportunity and experience. Suddenly, Nutrition Month didn’t feel so ordinary anymore.              T he jingle only allowed 15 members, and I was happy to be one of them. We were excused from our classes to prepare and to shoot the jingle. There were struggles, especially in mastering our song and choreography. Asid...

The Pieces That Shape Me: Formed by Hobbies, Pages, Peace, and Empathy

Image
M y name is Athena Rane I. Reburon, and I'm currently in Grade 10 under the Special Science Program in Ilocos Sur National High School. I'm 15 years old and I live with my parents and my older sister, whom I’m very thankful for. I enjoy exploring and learning new things, especially those that spark my creativity and challenge my knowledge. Being part of this program motivates me to do my best while trying to balance my academics with the hobbies I love.            B ooks—others might find them boring, but for me, they are one of the things I truly love. Fantasy and mystery thrillers are my favorite genres, because they allow me to dive into different worlds and experience exciting, unpredictable adventures. As the saying goes, "A person who doesn't read lives only once, while a reader lives many lives." Whether it's exploring a magical realm or investigating a gripping crime story, I al...
