      January-- the month that is always anticipated in Vigan City, marking the annual celebration of the Vigan Longganisa Festival. The fiesta shows the city’s rich culinary heritage, showcasing Vigan's famous unique longganisa. This is the month where it’s full of event-- calles come alive with food fairs, cooking competitions, concerts, and the event that keeps everyone excited-- the street dancing. The festival does not only celebrate food and talent, but it also reflects the unity and pride of Vigan Bigueños, honoring our traditions that have been passed down through generations while also welcoming tourists to experience this vibrant festival.・。.・゜✭・.・✫・゜・。.



        On the 22nd of January, the street dance competition was held in front of  Vigan Hall at 3:00 PM. During the event, the roads were filled with energy as street dancers started to perform and the crowd eagerly gathered to watch. Everyone was very excited, cheering and enjoying the impressive performances. .・。.・゜✭・.・✫・゜・。.

Of course, our school would not be left behind as our team performed wonderfully, and because of their hard work and amazing performance, our school won the championship. Aside from the overall win, the team also won Best Performer in both the male and female categories. But the achievements did not end there, as they also received three minor awards, namely Best Musicality, Best Production, and Best Costume.・。.・゜✭・.・✫・゜・。.・。.・゜✭・.・✫・゜・。.


        Seeing our school bag the championship and more awards made me feel very proud as a student of Ilocos Sur National High School. However, beyond the competitions, and recognition, the festival itself held a deeper meaning. The festival was a celebration of culture, unity, and creativity, where people from different schools came together. The lively performances, costumes, and energetic music shows our traditions and pride. Through this festival, we were reminded why celebrations like this are very important.

Together for a Greener Community (1st Quarter Thematic Project)

  H ere, I'm helping clean our barangay by sweeping to collect trash and by taking out weeds for a safer, cleaner, and greener environment. I n this picture, me and our club are working together to clean our school. It shows that teamwork makes a bigger impact in keeping our community clean and environment-friendly. T his 3rd  photo shows how we recycle our trash at home and turn it into something useful, like a pot we use to plant vegetables. I n this 4th photo, me and my family segregate our garbage. Since the garbage collector doesn’t reach our house, we collect it ourselves and travel to properly dispose it in a designated area. By starting in our home and working together, we can create a greener, cleaner, and better environment for everyone. 1st Quarter: Learning Through Lessons and Problems

            T his quarter was full of ups and downs. I learned a lot — not just from academic lessons, but also through personal experiences that helped me become better at handling challenges.           I n ICT, I discovered so much about the history of something we really love and use every day — the internet. It was really interesting to learn how it all started, from the launch of Sputnik and how it was first intended for military use, to how it eventually became accessible to almost everyone around the world.
