“Not all heroes wear capes” is a popular phrase, especially in this generation and on social media. It’s often said to honor people who perform heroic acts. But do teachers also get this much recognition? They don’t have superpowers--they can’t fly, nor do they have laser eyes--they’re not the ones who “save the day” or “save lives.” Yet, teachers have a different kind of superpower: they help us build our future. Through their help, guidance, patience, and dedication, they shape us, making them true heroes in their own way.✧°˖———- ・・・・・ . ☽ ‧₊˚
Without teachers, who would have taught the doctors, engineers, lawyers--and even the future teachers who are still learning how to be one? Without them, we wouldn't have the knowledge and skills that play a huge part in reaching our dreams. Teachers are our second parents--they guide us, support us, and believe in us. Thus, they don’t just teach lessons from books; they also teach life lessons, which are just as important for our future. . ☽ ‧₊˚
Being a teacher is never easy. It takes a lot of patience, effort, and understanding. Yet, many students--including me, often take this for granted. We sometimes forget how much work it takes to be a teacher. They might even have a bad day, but they still step into the classroom with a smile and compassion. They always continue to do their best.✧°˖────———-——-——-──———-——-——──———-— ・・・・ ・・・・・ . ☽ ‧₊˚
That’s why during this 2025 Teacher’s Month, with the theme “My Teacher, My Hero,” I want to say thank you-- thank you to all the teachers. Thank you for your patience, your sacrifices, your understanding, and the lessons you continue to teach us. This Teacher’s Day, we did our best to show how much we appreciate our teachers. We gave heartfelt thank you letters, DIY bouquets, and we even sang a song to them. But aside from a yearly celebration and surprises, we should normalize showing our gratitude every day--even through simple acts like saying thank you, greeting them with a smile, or just being respectful and doing our best in class. These small acts may seem common, but they mean a lot. Our teachers may not wear capes, but they are--and will always be our heroes.. ☽ ‧₊˚
